The AMIS is under the authority of the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives (DAMC) within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests.Commodity prices are collected weekly in average on 23 markets accross Bhutan, and the AMIS also hosts also commodity prices of 4 auction markets, where information is collected daily by the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL).
